thinking of you lots and lots, on this thoughtful thursday, dear kim!

our friend jenny, from a vision of art, wrote these words in a comment at my studio a little while ago and i immediately loved them and wanted them to be a part of thoughtful thursday one day ...

jenny graciously agreed, and today is the day ~ thank you *hugs*, jenny!

anyways, i just knew they would go perfectly with this image that i took of miss g's hands as you taught her the art of collage in your studio this past spring ...

insert background story for our friends ~
i am miss g's leader in 4h. her project is a create-a-project. she is 15 and a very creative person who has expressed herself through poetry writings since she was quite young! her project this year is to learn how to collect her writings and compile and design a book which i am helping her to do. she is creating collage art as illustrations to accompany each of her poems. it is a two year project. this spring, kim so kindly offered to spend an evening with miss g teaching her about this art form!

well, miss g proudly displayed her project work yesterday at achievement day at the fair!
she still has a number of collage illustrations to complete which we are really looking forward to working on in the near future ... : )

once she has completed the illustrations, we will work on the layout design ... and send it off to be printed!

and you know, kim ... you will be one of the first to see her finished product ... a book of her own ... miss g's 'my poetry' printed through the very cool blurb.com ...

thanks so much again for being the wonderful artist you are ...

for sharing your gift so freely ...

sunshine on your shoulder ~

ps. i have so enjoyed getting to know more about jenny this past while ~ she has a fabulous story about how her and her husband united ~ both fabulous artists!

What a great story, and the image is just wonderful. She will cherish that book her entire life.

Congratulations to Miss G! I, too, want to see her finished book. I just published one about Volendam and travel in the Zuider Zee on blurb.com. Don't forget the be the child, always!
