oh my gosh, really felt very much like you yesterday.  but i had to just jump in...  i seem to have a ton of stuff to get done.  aaaaaaaaack.

your posting yesterday was amazing... thank you for that...  lovely images and words... really sooo perfect.

okay, i have to get back to that HUGE sign that i was telling you i have to paint..... but before i go..
here's my 'recipe' for my sweet cow image.

first things first...... 
i converted the image to b&w.  i do that a lot. :)
then i added 2 layers of today's 2 for 'grunge' texture one with the blending mode multiply 51% and one at soft light 100%.
then a layer of 'paged' at 60% soft light.
i then made a duplicate of the base image and dragged it up on top, set the blending mode to soft light 70%
and finally added bit of a vignette around the edge.

and that was that.
