on this very rainy, dreary, windy day ...

i thought this might be a good time to go on a 'field trip' ...

i love that you came up with these words to describe our photo outings ...


extra-special as after this year, we will be without our children's school field trips, so we'll start our own ... 

come along ...

a perfect day to go and see what's growing at the local green house ...

the first person i see is my cheery friend, sbr, who is busily propagating to encourage growth ...

above are row upon row of planted pots ... soon to be overspilling with colour!

the geranium's are stretching up and up ...

a perfect sea of parsley ... munch munch ...

speaking of colour ... wow ... what an array of coleus ...

heart be still ... orchid love ...

orchid love everywhere ... taking your breath away ...

and as we are about to step back to the real world ...

the gorgeous gerbera begs us closer ...

thanks kim, for publishing my post yesterday when i ran into either blogger or 'country bumpkin' internet hiccups ... but the funny part is that only part of the post must have been saved originally at my end ... you must have wondered why it ended so 'funny' ... so, here i am today to re-publish with all the images ... 


but sorry, i can't remember what else i said at the end of my post ...


something about the fact that the rain had turned to snow and it was perfect timing as i was off to the friday night horse show at the royal manitoba winter fair! ...
