my dear georgia ~

have kim and i mentioned lately how inspiring you are?

i wasn't quite sure what i might post today ...

but you just led the way with something too tasty to pass up ...

so, food it is!

these snack jars ... with apricots . mangoes . nuts and such ... are a staple in our kitchen to keep the hungry wolves at bay ...

when an apple has bounced about too long in a lunch kit, it usually ends up on top of these jars until there are enough to make an apple crisp ...

mmmmm .... wonder if we have kim's taste buds tingling ...

this is all too much fun!

cheers ~

pps. thanks for the tip in photoshop, mrs. klassen ~ i've tried it and it works marvelously ... xo

very nice!

i love the close-up view. i am so not a baker, except when it comes to cheescake and my signature cobbler {cranberry peach cobbler at thanksgiving}. i like your idea for storing up unused fruit for such occasions. unfortunately, the hubby rarely eats fresh fruit, so i rarely buy it, and when i do, i gobble it all up!

ooooh... no i'm anxious to see if miss kim will post something food related too. i have an inkling she will! can't wait!

oopsy daisy ... i think i may have misled you girls a bit ...

the apricots and mangoes are *dried* for snacking on ...

the apples are ... hee hee ... fresh, but ... you know ... spongey ... halfway there for apple crisp ...

thanks for your kind words ...

loving what you girls are up to.

peaches bring back memories of summer and dad and love and juice dripping down my arms and running along the beach.

bliss. all of them.
