happy saturday!
oh my, what an amazing gift we had waiting for us on the front porch today.
i'm not sure if i shared about our sweet little robin that nests each year on the front porch wall?
but we are pretty sure it's the same family....year after year...for as long as we have been in our house.
and they have been building a nest on top of a nest for the last 3 years.
before that, they would build in various places on the porch.
like in the planters on the wall.
but anyhow, today we were out on the porch and daddy came flying in...
not realizing that we were there.
but when he caught sight of us ...
he was outta there.
little worm, still in his mouth.
but he didn't go far.
he hung around.
then we saw mama down on the lawn....
hanging out, keeping watch...
and then there the 2 of them were... up on the rail.
i was giddy with excitement...
click, click i went with my camera.
and then out of nowhere....
mama swooshed up to the nest to check on her babies.
i didn't even have a chance to snap a pic...
as if she said...coast is clear...feed the babies...
up he went....
he didn't stick around for long... but he fed his babies.
then mama popped back in...
and then my favorite shot of all...
mama sitting on my treasured baby scale.
'sigh'
what more could i ask for today.
oh and the best part... once they had their babies fed... off they went... all was well...
here's to god's amazing gifts... xxo, kim

Ahhh, my dream porch. With you in spirit coffee in hand.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these photos! What a wonderful little (but important) story! xoxo g
These are great, you take such wonderful photos...I so love watching the birds with their babies, last year we had a robin that fell out of the nest and you should have seen me chasing him around the yard trying to pick him up so I could put him back in, those little babies are fast! All was well in the end though. I just love the way you processed these...
