i once read many quotes in one place by helen keller. i was blown away at the depth of her wisdom and discernment. she saw so much more than most of us ever will. she is one of my favorite people to learn about and read quotes by.

beautiful treatment of this well-known quote.

we had another nice day... but snow is expected for the weekend. : (

so sad, as sat. is the first day of spring. oh, well. i think it's just one last effort on winter's part. nothing permanent.

the texture around the words speaks to me.

i have a story about helen keller to share with you... right now at the wonderful new Art Gallery of Alberta building, there is an exhibit of photographs (portraits) taken by Yousuf Karsh. There was a portrait of Helen Keller that was in the exhibit and I find it so powerful and moving. Here is a link that has the photo: http://www.youraga.ca/exhibit/karsh-image-maker. For some reason, I cannot look at this photo without feeling incredibly moved (to tears, even). It is amazing how photography can speak to us and move us (the photography from you wonderful ladies on this blog moves me greatly as well!)
Anyway, I just thought you might enjoy this story. Thanks for all your amazing photos and for giving me a place to find some beauty and serentiy in my day.
Love, Bee
