oh my, today must be a comfort food, kinda day.... that french toast....wow.... lovely...i bet your boys gobbled it up pretty darn quickly!
okay john, andy and i ventured out again today. but, things did not quite goes as planned. we got stuck!! oops.... :) thankfully though it was right near a farm yard and after about 45 minutes of shoveling we were rescued by the farmer and his tractor. thank you very much! :) andy thought it was fun though. he romped around the countryside while we dug, and pushed and all that good stuff!!
fast forward, home from our adventure, warmed up and raring to accomplish something...
so many things to do. but this is what kept coming to mind....peanut butter brownies. I found the recipe here. smitten kitchen is an incredible site, full of recipes and beautiful, yummy images... a must visit!! as you can see my brownies, do not look like hers... darn... :)
i tweeked the recipe to accomodate some of us trying to cut back on the sugar. so, i used splenda and i didn't ice it.
it's a lot like cookie dough and i had a hard time smoothing out the top. so mine certainly didn't look as pretty as hers. but i promise you...they are YUMMY.
