happy saturday... thinking of you today... 

so john is off on his vacation adventure... i was thinking he should have taken the video camera.  it could quite possibly have been a youtube sensation....  tooo funny... ♥ 

so, i am heading to the trail with andy.  most definitely need to soak up the sunshine today....

irene made her regular monday appearance on flickr yesterday...celebrating HBM. :)  we took a bunch of pics before we decided on our fickr posting....here's one of irene hanging in the studio...  fitting a little painting time in. :)

i do love HBM... the flickr group is fabulous...  i'm off to spend a wee bit of time checking it out....

gosh darn, i woke up at 5:15 this morning, wide awake..just had to get up...the old noggin' was spinning with ideas and all kinds of creative goodness....  just wish i wouldn't have been up so late (or i should say early) as it was after midnight going onto 1 a.m. when my head hit the pillow....

we were so on the same page today....

love, love... love your granola pictures and it looks sooo yummy... WONDERFUL.

we had a nice visit with john's mom and his uncle today. they came for brunch...
it was a bit last minute, so i had to use what i had in the house.

so i hopped online this morning to find a recipe...
remembered that i had a few tubes of pillsbury crescent rolls... did a search for pillsbury breakfast. and found this recipe for bacon and potato breakfast pizza.

rush, rush.... :) but i took some time to snap a few pics as i made it...

and the process went something like this. :)

i can/tube of pillsbury crescent rolls, pressed into a 9 x 13 pan and baked for 5 minutes.

beat eggs.

add milk, then add bacon, cheddar cheese, and hashbrowns. mix all together in a bowl and then spoon onto the base.

top with more cheddar and parsley.

bake for 20 minutes.

yummy.... it was pretty darn good.

i actually made 2 pans, just to be sure we had enough.
but, next time i would just double the egg mixture and make it all in one pan.
it was a little thin. and i think
also, i would add some minced onion for a little extra flavor. really it was a lot like quiche.

so funny we were both taking pictures this morning...probably at the same time.

that makes me smile, inside and out... 

so here i am... and it's almost bed time for some... posting about brunch... yep, it was definitely one of those days....

i'm longing for flowers, fresh fruit and veggies...  must be that "spring fever" feeling, we've been talking about.  :)

off for a photo drive with john and andy...hopefully we can connect a little later... or perhaps tomorrow.

thought i would pop in and share this treasure.... taken just outside of hamiota... a true beauty... don't you think?  sigh...  john and i found "her" on sunday.  just waiting to be photographed...and barely off the road...  we are surrounded by beauty.... it's so incredible...  such a gift.

it amazes me how the camera has opened the world up to me in a whole new way.  so hard to imagine life before my nikon stole my heart... :)

hi, hi... how are you?

seems i have to drop in quickly again today...  we had some afternoon company (a nice visit with john's mom and dad), and now we are getting ready to go over to auntie marg's for dinner... Yummmmy....

but i wanted to share my valentine's find...from yesterday... what a treasure!!  sigh...  sooo lovely... atleast to me... :)

have to say... what a LOT of snow you have. wow....  the snowmobilers must be very happy....  we managed to stay out of the snow drifts on our drive yesterday...john is a pretty darn good pilot...  wow, i would have had us stuck for sure... 

perhaps i will chat at you later... but i must go and make my salad...  have a great rest of the day.
